What Is the Difference Between PCR and Virgin Plastic?

The primary difference between PCR and virgin plastic is where the material comes from.

Virgin plastic is produced from new, previously unused resin. Post-Consumer Resin (PCR) is produced from plastic products that have already been used by consumers, collected through recycling streams, and reprocessed into material that can be used again.

Because PCR comes from recycled material, its appearance and properties can differ from virgin resin depending on the recycled content and application.
